Personal Mastery Coaching

What the heck is Personal Mastery CoachingOr more importantly, what will it do for you?

Coaching is strictly confidential, yet Neil Gerritsen from Alberta Business Sales Inc. confirmed to share this,

“Dan was introduced to me by a colleague. I have had previous coaches who have served me well, but I come to points when I have more questions than answers and need to bring a trusted advisor into my life to help.

Dan helped me explore and solve work and personal related items . Some of the exercises and activities completed in my coaching session were quite brilliant and to this day I still use and refer to.

Dan let me explore so many things. I think his honesty, kindness and positivity adds to the coaching experience. There were many things I verbalized for the first time…..and that is a complete credit to Dan for creating the environment to say what was in my heart and soul.
Dan is an exceptional coach and I would recommend him fully to anyone who is seeking a coach. The experience was life changing and pushed me in a very positive direction……”

If you’d rather read, here’s what Personal Mastery Coaching is NOT.  It is NOT counseling, consulting, mentoring, or therapy. You are not broken and you do not need to be fixed.  You are exceptional just the way you are, you have all of the resources you need already, and you always make the best decisions with what you know at the time.  Therefore, in coaching, you will not be told what to do.

Whew! That’s a relief, isn’t it? I don’t know about you, but I don’t like it when someone tells me what to do.  In fact, if someone tells me what to do, there is a little tiny voice in the back of my mind wanting to tell them what to do – to go somewhere – really hot.  And  I don’t mean Phoenix.

This is your life, and you are in charge of your agenda – you hold the keys to unlocking the doors on your own high-performance machine.  So in that regard, consider these questions:

Ever have things that kinda eat at you – maybe for days, or weeks?

Occasionally, do you get a nagging tension in your shoulders, like you’re carrying the world – or headaches that just keep rattling your brain – or feelings of overwhelm, just too much to do?

Do you have sleepless nights, tossing and turning with that same old “story” going on in your mind, and you just can’t turn it off?

Want to eliminate or reduce this? Personal Mastery Coaching may be your solution.

Personal Mastery Coaching

Now let’s look at what it is.  There are 2 parts:

  1. Personal Mastery
  2. Coaching

1. Personal Mastery – When you think of a Master at something, what does that mean? For example, a master golfer, a master skier, a yoga master, a master electrician, a master painter, a master chef, etc.

Personal Mastery is a condition, or a state of mind, which indicates that you or I are exceptional in our area of expertise.

Personal Mastery is not a goal that you can hold onto and say, “There, finally I’ve got it – it’s a done-deal.”  Instead Personal Mastery is a state of mind where you are:

  • confident, competent, and comfortable with your level of skill;
  • creating amazing results;
  • happy, passionate, and joyful;
  • feeling peace-of-mind and contentment;
  • noticing how what you do affects everything, and everyone in your circle of influence in a bigger, positive way;
  • yet always striving to improve a bit more – everyday.

It is a state of mind of continual and never-ending learning, growing, and practicing.

May sound easy enough, yet in our hectic lives, where we are continually bombarded with stimuli, it is a bit more challenging than it first appears.

So my questions for you are these:

  1. In what areas of your life are you a Master?  I know there are some areas.
  2. In which areas of your life do you want to make changes or improvements and achieve Mastery?
  3. If you could have the life you really want, what would that be like?  What would you be doing, seeing, and feeling differently than what it is now?
  4. How important is that to you?
  5. In what areas do you feel a bit stuck?
  6. What would it take for you to just let-go, take a step forward, and begin to become a Master of your life in all areas – to really experience your potential?

To do this, most people need on-going support of some kind.  I’m not talking about a friend who will buy into your BS stories.  I’m meaning someone who challenges you to be your best.  That’s where coaching comes in.

2.  CoachingCoaching is a science (and an art), which allows you to prioritize your life and commit to creating what you really want…and more.

Through solution-oriented and forward-focused processes, you determine your best steps to overcome humps, bumps, and pot-holes that keep you from utilizing your true potential.

In our fast-paced world, it is too easy to get caught up being “busy” and miss opportunities to be creative and resourceful.  Through coaching, you’ll re-ignite creativity and passion, and discover (or re-discover) your own abilities and talents.  Through a series of questions, brainstorming, visioning, and planning, you’ll use your resourcefulness to make conscious accountable choices to transform your life.

Coaching bridges the gap between where you are now, and where you want to be.  It supports you to take that step over the chasm (that uncertain, maybe uncomfortable spot), to live a productive, joyful, and fulfilling life.   And the results have an amazing way of spilling into every aspect of your life – personal, professional, and in community.

Personal Mastery Coaching is for you, isn’t it?  You’ll find that changes you make to your thoughts, words, and actions will produce results and experiences you’ll really like – guaranteed.

It’s as if you are a championship athlete, having all of the talents you need, yet using a coach who supports you to make small incremental adjustments that produce performance that is just that wee bit better than what it was before – with total commitment.  And that wee change could be the difference between the “best-ever performance” and “just another flippin’ game”.

I’m a bit curious to know when you are going to commit to making those wee changes, and how you are going to stay accountable to your commitments – for the long-term.

Personal Mastery Coaching – Is it for you?

The more important question is this:  What if ?

What if you could “be” the kind of person you really want to be?  To always emulate those qualities you admire.

What if you could “do” everything you choose to do with passion, excitement, and confidence?

What if you could “have” all that you want and need to experience the quality of life you really want – in all areas?

What if?
